TravelCorp and Denim Airways to Join UATP Network in June

Washington -- UATP (Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc.) is continuing to expand its Merchant base by adding TravelCorp LLC and Denim Airways. Both companies will begin accepting UATP as a form of payment in June through the UATP Settlement Services (USS), UATP’s non-clearinghouse transaction settlement solution. USS is a low-cost, weekly settlement system that accepts all UATP accounts as a form of payment for travel purchases and allows travel agency fees to be billed to a corporate customer’s UATP account.

“UATP is achieving steady growth in recruiting travel agencies into the USS program because it delivers a low-cost settlement solution and adds value to the agency’s relationship with corporate customers,” Ralph Kaiser, UATP’s president and chairman, said. “UATP is also adding and recruiting airlines worldwide to the USS transaction settlement solution.”

TravelCorp, is a medium-sized agency based in New Orleans that specializes in personalized customer service. TravelCorp will begin accepting UATP as a form of payment on June 7 in order to reduce travel-management inefficiencies and costs. Denim Airways is a flexible-capacity air travel provider based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, that has served regional travelers in Europe since 1996. Denim Airways, which was one of Europe’s first fully JAR-OPS1 certified operators, will begin accepting UATP on 12 June.

UATP is the global corporate travel payment network. UATP accounts are actively issued by 15 member airlines and accepted as a form of payment for corporate business travel by more than 200 airlines worldwide. Airlines currently issuing UATP accounts include Aer Lingus, Air New Zealand, Alitalia, American Airlines (NYSE: AMR), Austrian Airlines, British Airways (NYSE: BAB), Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL), Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), Japan Airlines (NasdaqOTC: JALSY), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa German Airlines, Qantas Airways, Ltd., Scandinavian Airlines System, United Airlines (OTC Bulletin Board: UALAQ) and US Airways (NASDAQ: UAIR).
